The rivalry between Millonarios FC & Atlético Nacional is one of the biggest in South America. This is the most important soccer match in Colombia as it brings together the two most winningest & traditional teams with the biggest fan bases in the country. Though it has always existed, this rivalry gained traction after a quarter-final match in the 1989 Copa Libertadores, when the Verdolagas knocked out the Embajadores from the tournament.
There have been 285 official matches between these two clubs, resulting in 108 wins for Millonarios, 83 for Nacional, & 94 draws.
